On the first day of the year, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division conducted an operation against traffic law violators in various areas of the capital, resulting in 1,908 cases being filed.
Additionally, 43 vehicles were dumped, and 72 vehicles were towed during the operation.
These cases were filed at various locations of the capital on Wednesday, as confirmed by the Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP's Media and Public Relations Branch Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
The police official also said that the DMP Traffic Division will continue its operations to maintain traffic discipline in the Dhaka Metropolitan area.
