The head of the Constitution Reform Commission, Prof Ali Riaz, has urged political forces to remain committed to advancing reform efforts.
He made the call during a dialogue titled “Unity, Reform, Election,” organized by the Forum for Bangladesh Studies at the Krishibid Institution in the capital on Friday.
Ali Riaz said: “The people and political parties want a democratic system, citizen rights and decentralization of power. Bangladesh must move forward by embracing this consensus.”
“Merely reforming laws and creating a good constitution are not enough to ensure constitutional rights. Political forces must be determined to carry these reforms forward," he added.
