Inqilab Mancha submitted a memorandum to the Indian High Commission located in the diplomatic zone of Baridhara, Dhaka.
On Friday evening, three representatives from the group were escorted to the Indian High Commission premises with the assistance of the police. After submitting the memorandum, they departed.
The memorandum protested against incidents such as the "attack and vandalism at the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala," "persecution of minority communities in India," and "attempts to displace the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, citing claims of a Shiva temple beneath it."
Gulshan Division Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Tarek Mahmud Shanto said: "A peaceful rally was organized by Inqilab Mancha, following which their representatives submitted a memorandum. As a precautionary measure, additional security personnel were deployed, and no untoward incidents occurred."
According to sources, on Friday afternoon, more than a hundred participants under the banner of Inqilab Mancha began marching from Gulshan-2 circle towards the Indian High Commission office, carrying banners, festoons, and placards.
The procession was stopped approximately 100 yards from its starting point by a police barricade.
Senior police officials then engaged in discussions with the leaders of Inqilab Mancha and arranged for three representatives to be transported by vehicle to the High Commission to deliver the memorandum.
The leaders of Inqilab Mancha said: "India witnesses the highest levels of minority persecution. Instead of addressing the issues in their own country, they are propagating misinformation against Bangladesh, which is unacceptable."
