Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinees staged protests in the Science Lab and Uttara areas of Dhaka on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon as part of a previously announced program.
The demonstrations began around 12pm.
According to the protesters, authorities refused repeated requests to defer the examinations despite heavy rain and widespread flooding, while question paper errors further fueled discontent.

In the Science Lab area, students started gathering from around 11am before assembling in larger numbers at noon. They chanted slogans calling for the education minister to step down.
An officer on duty at New Market Police Station told Dhaka Tribune that police were deployed at the scene to keep the situation under control.
Meanwhile, students blocked the road in front of the BNS Center in Uttara, disrupting traffic after taking to the streets around noon.

An officer at Uttara East Police Station said police were urging the students to clear the road, adding that senior officials were present at the scene.
