Students supporting the Anti-Discriminatory Student Movement have blocked the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Dhamrai.

They staged the blockade in the Dhulivita area of the highway on Saturday at 11am.

During this time, students marched from the Dhamrai Dhulivita bus stand, covering approximately one and a half kilometres to Islampur, and then returned to Dhulivita where they remained stationed.

Throughout these activities, students were observed chanting various slogans against the government, including calls for the government's resignation.

These actions resulted in traffic congestion extending at least five kilometres on both sides of the highway, causing inconvenience to regular commuters.

By 2pm, the students had dispersed from the road.

Police were stationed near the Dhaka-Aricha highway in the Islampur area to oversee any potential disturbances.
