The metro rail services from Mirpur’s Shewrapara to Bijay Sarani resumed after being halted for two hours due to a technical glitch on Monday.
The matter was confirmed by Mohammad Abdur Rouf, joint secretary of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).
He said the services were suspended around 7am and resumed at 8:58am. “The electric power supply for the metro rail operation failed due to technical reasons.”
During this time, announcements were made at the metro stations regarding the delay.
