The 16th death anniversary of Bir Protik Col (Retd) Shafique Ullah was observed on Sunday at International University of Business Agriculture and Technology in Dhaka.
He was a former treasurer and member of the board of governors of the university.
IUBAT Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Registrar Prof Dr Md Lutfar Rahman, Exam Controller Brig Gen (Retd) Dr Md Zahid Hossain, Shafique Ullah’s son Brig Gen Md Saif Ullah, director, National Security Intelligence, and other faculty members and officials shared their experiences with Col Shafique.
Bir Protik Col (Retd) Shafique Ullah was known much for his distinctive role in his career in the armed forces marked by a good brand of patriotism, diligence, perseverance and his heroic role in the War of Liberation in 1971.
He joined IUBAT in 1996 and continued dedicated service till his death on March 31, 2008.
