Murder case filed against Transcom CEO Simeen by younger sister

  • Claimed her brother was not ill

Shahzreh Haque has lodged a murder case against her elder sister and Transcom Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simeen Rahman, accusing her of killing their brother Arshad Waliur Rahman, along with ten other individuals.

The case was filed at Dhaka's Gulshan police station at 12:05pm on Thursday.

Gulshan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam confirmed the information to Dhaka Tribune.

The other defendants in the case are Simeen Rahman's son and Transcom Limited's Head of Transformation Zaraif Ayat Hossain, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs (Law) Fakhruzzaman Bhuiyan, 60, Director of Corporate Finance Kamrul Hasan, 61, Manager of Corporate Affairs Selina Sultana, 45, Manager of Corporate Affairs KH Md Shahadat Hossain, 50, Manager (Medical Affairs) of SKF Pharmaceuticals Murad, 50, Marketing and Sales Department Executive Director Dr Md Mujahidul Islam, 55, Md Zahid Hossain, 55, Rafiq, 55, and Mirazul, 40.

OC Mazharul Islam mentioned that Shahzreh Haque, the younger daughter of late Transcom Group chairman Latifur Rahman, filed the case on Thursday night. She alleged that her brother Arshad Waliur Rahman was not ill and that he was killed by the accused through a plotted scheme.

Earlier in February, Shahzreh Haque had filed three cases against her elder sister, mother, and eight Transcom officials at the Gulshan police station.
