The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has granted BNP permission to hold its peace rally at Dhaka's Suhrawardy Udyan on Monday.
However, the party has been barred from publicizing or broadcasting convicted politicians' statements. The rally is set to take place at 3pm.
DMP Joint Commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarker confirmed the matter.
"Permission has been given to BNP to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on Monday. However, they have been given a condition not to publish the statements of any convicted or accused party men,” he said.

The BNP received permission to hold rallies whenever it requested it. If we have negative information about an event or rally, we do not consider it,” he added.
Meanwhile, BNP activists and workers were seen constructing a stage at the Suhrawardy Udyan for the peace rally.
Earlier on July 27, BNP acting Chairperson Tarique Rahman's speech was broadcast through video conferencing at a rally at Dhaka's Naya Paltan.
