Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) on Tuesday informed the High Court that it has recovered 26,777 documents out of the total 30,000 documents that were hacked last year.
Rajuk's lawyer Advocate Imam Hasan presented the information in the form of an affidavit in the High Court bench consisting of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Justice Mohammad Showkat Ali Chowdhury on Tuesday.
A total of 3,000 documents were hacked by hackers, according to a report.
Once the breach was detected, all data was recovered. A team from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) has been appointed by Rajuk to prevent this from happening in the future, said the lawyer.
Further investigation is being done on this matter, he added.
On January 2, the High Court sought an explanation regarding the disappearance of records of about 30,000 customers from the Rajuk server.
The court ordered the chairman of Rajuk to submit an explanation in this regard within 30 days.
Taking into account a report published in the newspaper in this regard, Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat gave this order.
ACC lawyer Md Khurshid Alam Khan brought the report published in the newspaper on the same day to the attention of the court.
At that time, Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik was on the side of the state.
According to the published report, on December 6 last year, the application documents of about 30,000 customers related to building construction approval disappeared from Rajuk's server. The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has ordered an investigation into the missing of the documents.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) formed a three-member committee to investigate the disappearance of 30,000 customer records.
