Student died after tree falls on him during nor'wes ninth-grader died and two others were injured after being crushed by a tree during a nor'wester in Dhaka's Dohar upazila on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Md Yasin, 16.
Locals rescued three injured and sent them to an area hospital first. From there, two were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 10:30pm where Yasin died while undergoing treatment.
Zobael, an uncle of the deceased, said: "They went to a fair next to our home. They were injured as a tree fell on them due to strong winds during a storm while returning home."
DMCH police outpost in-charge Inspector Md Bachchu Mia said: "The body of the deceased is in the hospital morgue. The matter has been reported to the police station concerned."
