A man was killed as a CNG-run autorickshaw hit him in Mirpur's Sheorapara area in Dhaka early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Arju, son of Aslam Mia, resident of Pallavi Milad camp. He was a motor electrician.
Mirpur police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Moktar Hossain confirmed the matter.
Haji Sabbir Alam, a resident of the area, said: "Arju was seriously injured after being hit by the CNG-run autorickshaw in the Sheorapara area early in the morning. Later, his friend Rana took him to the hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead."
The body was kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
