The Ramna Traffic Division under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Friday issued traffic guidelines for people who want to go to the National Eidgah on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Several roads will have traffic diversions, including Gulistan's Zero Point crossing, Matsya Bhaban crossing, Government Employees Hospital intersection, Doel Chattar crossing, Press Club link road, the alley behind the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UBL crossing and the Control Room gap.
The general public can park their vehicles from Matsya Bhaban to Shahbagh, at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), Carpet Lane, outside the barricade at Doel Chattar, outside the barricade at Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall, and outside the barricade at Press Club link road.
The president, chief justice and other VVIPs can park near the roundabout inside the Supreme Court, ministerial council members and other VIPs can park at the northwest side of the main gate of the National Eidgah, judges can park at the north side of the Supreme Court Mazar, and high ranking government officials, notable personalities and journalists can park in the courtyard of Khadya Bhaban.
Depending on the sighting of the moon, Eid-ul-Fitr could be celebrated in Bangladesh on Saturday.
