A Dhaka court on Tuesday fixed May 21 for the submission of a probe report in a case filed in connection with 25 deaths in a blast at Gulistan Siddikbazar on March 7.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court judge Begum Farah Diba Chhanda fixed the fresh date as the investigation officer of the case failed to submit the report on Tuesday.

Earlier on March 10, the Dhaka court fixed Tuesday for report submission in the case.

Police filed the case with Bangshal Police Station after the blast incident.

The horrific blast took place in the basement of the seven-storey building, housing sanitary hardware stores at around 4.50pm on March 7, instantly killing around 10 people and injuring many more.

After filing of the case, the two owners of the building, Wahidur Rahman and Matiur Rahman, and Mintu, a sanitary dealer in the basement of the building, were shown arrested.

Later they were remanded. Currently, sanitary trader Mintu is on bail. Wahidur Rahman and Matiur Rahman are in jail.
