Sustainable Development Club of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) successfully conducted an awareness campaign at Gonaktuli Horizon Sorkare Prathamik Bidyalay at Lalbagh on Thursday.
ULAB Sustainable Development Club escorted the campaign following SDG4: Quality Education to encourage sustainable behaviour in early education among kids.
The main purpose of this awareness campaign was to enlighten the school children about the horrible effects of plastic pollution and plastic waste on the planet.
The campaign was designed in four segments. Almost 50 students from grades 3, 4, and 5 took part in the activity.
Sanzida Alam, the club president of ULAB Sustainable Development Club conducted the first segment which included a sustainability talk on plastic waste, plastic pollution, and its effect on land and marine systems.
The session was followed by classroom drama conducted by Akib Anjum Nijhum, vice president; Razin Saleh Alam, general secretary; Afrida Khan, organising secretary; Nusrat Jahan Esa, publication secretary of ULAB Sustainable Development Club along with a few general members from ULAB Sustainable Club.
