The authorities have made some changes to the schedule of metro rail movement. The schedule will be implemented from January 25.
The metro rail will run from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Agargaon Station Manager Engineer Mahfuzur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
He said: “Since its inauguration, the metro rail has been operating directly from Agargaon station to Uttara North station without stopping anywhere. However, it will make a stop at Pallabi from January 25.”
He also said: “Freedom fighters can travel on metro trains free of charge by showing valid identity cards. Besides, those who have MRT passes or rapid passes do not have to stand in a queue to enter the platform in order to travel by metro rail.”
According to the authorities, from January 25 the gates will be opened from 8am for passengers to enter the platform. The gate will be closed at 12pm. The metro rail will run for four hours as before, delayed by only half an hour.
Since its inauguration, the metro rail has been running non-stop for four hours from Uttara station to Agargaon station from 8am to 12pm. Currently, the gate opens at 7:30am and closes at 11:30am.
