Two people were shot during a clash between two groups near Gulshan's Gloria Jean's coffee shop.
The incident was reported at around 4pm on Sunday, Md Abdul Ahad, deputy commissioner of DMP's Gulshan Division said.
One of the injured was a bystander. His identity could not be confirmed yet, reports Bangla Tribune.
Meanwhile, the person who fired the gun, Ahidul, and the other person who was shot, Aminul, were taken into police custody at Gulshan police station.
“The validity of the firearm that was used is being checked,” Deputy Commissioner Md Ahad said.
He added that the clash took place following a reported dispute between the groups over tender.
Saiful Islam, owner of Gloria Jean's and senior vice chairman of Navana Group, said: “The clash took place near the DCC market. Later they came in front of the coffee shop.”
Besides, Gloria Jean's has been temporarily shut down following the incident. It was announced on their official Facebook page.
