A woman has given birth to a baby boy at the Agargaon metro rail station in Dhaka.
Mahfuzur Rahman, the manager of the station, said the woman, Sonia, was travelling to Agargaon from Uttara on Thursday morning.
“She started to have labour pain inside a metro train. Later, she gave birth with the help of members of Scouts and DMTCL staffers at around 9:30am.”
Afterward, she was sent to a hospital in Dhanmondi, he added.
The mother and the baby both are doing well, Mahfuzur Rahman said.
