In a letter signed by Special Assistant to DMP Commissioner Md Tanveer Salehin Emon, 26 conditions were set for the rally on Friday

Update : 10 Dec 2022, 03:36 PM

The 26 conditions of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for BNP's divisional rally in Dhaka remained only on paper since the Golapbag ground of the capital did not see the implementation of any of those on Saturday.
Any requirements, such as the use of microphones or the assembly of activists, were not observed in action.
BNP supporters were seen gathering outside the venue. The rally formally began before the stated time, and BNP activists were everywhere in the vicinity of the rally's location.
Additionally, the speech was being delivered during the Azan. BNP leaders and activists also went against the terms on using microphones.
Earlier, the DMP gave 26 conditions while allowing the rally at Suhrawardy Udyan. However, since BNP did not want to host a rally there, that requirement was dropped. Furthermore, the party insisted vehemently on organizing the event in Naya Paltan. But the BNP had to relocate the location because of the altercation between leaders and activists outside the Naya Paltan office on Wednesday.
Later on Friday, in a letter signed by Special Assistant to DMP Commissioner Md Tanveer Salehin Emon, 26 conditions were set for the rally.
The conditions include- permission must be obtained from the concerned authority for use of permitted place, all activities of the rally should be restricted inside venue, adequate number of volunteers (with visible ID cards) should be recruited for management, installing closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the venue, installing metal detectors for checking the delegates and following Covid safety guidelines while holding the rally, all the vehicles coming to the gathering should be searched, micro-phone, loudspeakers cannot be set up outside of the venue, projectors cannot be placed outside the rally ground, and more.
