Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has tested positive for Covid-19 for the third time.
He is currently receiving treatment at home as he has no symptoms other than cough and physical weakness, reports Bangla Tribune.
The mayor took a Covid-19 test after coming down with a fever on Monday.
Atiqul Islam sought prayers from the countrymen for his quick recovery and requested everyone to follow proper hygiene rules including wearing masks.
The mayor first contracted the virus in 2020, and later in February this year.
