The roads under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will be marked with the colours red, yellow and green depending on their importance, Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has said.
Work to mark the streets would start next week, the DSCC mayor told reporters on Wednesday.
The DSCC would mark the most important roads with the colour red, he said, adding that no hawkers would be allowed on those roads.
When asked about businesses illegally operating on playgrounds or at parks, the mayor said the DSCC would work to recover them if it received any specific complaints.
