Man killed in oil tanker-CNG auto-rickshaw collision in Dhaka

The oil tanker was seized in the incident and the driver is on the run, said police

A man was killed in the Khilgaon Trimohini Bridge area of Dhaka on Thursday afternoon after an oil tanker truck collided with the CNG auto-rickshaw carrying him. 

The deceased has been identified as Khalilur Rahman Mazumder Rubel, 32, a garment stock lot trader.

The auto-rickshaw driver was also injured in the accident. 

Khilgaon police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Alaul Haque confirmed the incident to Dhaka Tribune. 

After the accident, the duo were taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 4:15pm when the on-duty doctor declared Khalilur dead.

The oil tanker was seized but the driver is on the run, according to police.
