A woman died after a brick fell on her from an under-construction building in Dhaka's Demra area on Monday morning.
The deceased, Runa Akhter, 22, was a garment worker from Indurkani upazila of Pirojpur district and currently living in West Mominbagh area with her husband and a son.
Runa was on her way to work around 7:45am. As she was passing by a four-storey under-construction building, a brick fell on her head, leaving her critically injured, said her husband Md Shaheen.
She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead around 8:30am.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, said the body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy and the police station concerned was reported.
