At least 18 people have been injured after a private car ploughed through them in front of Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka.
The incident occurred around midday on Sunday.
The victims were waiting at the bus stoppage when the private car hit them.
All the injured were first admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital. Among them, four critically injured - including a child - were transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Another victim was shifted to the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital.
Confirming the matter, Cantonment police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Sahan Haque said the driver has been arrested and the car is now under police custody.
