A child has been crushed under an easy-bike at Sabujbag in Dhaka.
The deceased was identified as Ujma Islam Jannat, 7, daughter of Md Shohag from Ramdasdi village of Chandpur sadar upazila.
The incident occurred around 10am on Thursday.
The injured child was sent to a local hospital, but was later shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) around 12:30pm, when her condition deteriorated.
Later, she died at the hospital around 5:30pm while undergoing treatment.
Father of the deceased said Jannat was critically injured when an easy-bike ran over her in front of her house in Nandipara Bank Colony in Dhaka.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost In-charge Md Bachchu Miah said the child’s body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
