A man has been stabbed to death in Anandanagar area of Merul Badda in Dhaka.
The deceased was identified as Md Nasir, 35.
Nasir sustained stab injuries on his right chest and was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday night.
He was declared dead by the on-duty physician around 10:40pm.
Badda police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) (operations) Md Yasin Gazi said: “We have detained one Arif in connection with the murder.”
Both Nasir and Arif were drug traders in the area, the police official said.
Internal conflict between them might have led to the murder, he added.
