A 15-year-old schoolboy has been killed during a clash between two rival groups in Dhaka.
The deceased was identified as Shaon, a ninth grader of Gandaria High School.
Gandaria police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) MA Jalil said a brawl between two youth groups – aged below 20 – from Valka Nagar and 100 Kathha area of Gendaria triggered around 10:30pm on Saturday.
“Three youths of the 100 Kathha area were injured and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital [DMCH]. Afterwards, they were transferred to National Institute of Diseases of the Chest and Hospital (NIDCH),” he said.
“Shaon was declared dead at the NIDCH while the rest are now out of danger,” the police OC said.
