One woman was killed in a road accident in Dhaka and her husband was injured.
The incident occurred in front of Aziz Cooperative Super Market, in the capital's Shahbagh area, around 3am on Saturday.
The deceased Nurun Nahar, 25 and her husband Md Abdul Halim were on their way home after Eid shopping, when a concrete mixing truck of Abdul Momen Ltd hit their motorcycle and ran over Nahar, leaving Halim injured.
Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Shahbagh police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Champak Chakrabarty said: "We have detained the driver along with the truck.
"The body of the deceased has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy."
Nure Alam, the brother of the deceased said, Nurun Nahar lived in a rented house in the capital's Bhatara area along with her husband and two children.
