Protesting workers, who were demanding the payment of their outstanding dues, have called off their strike.
They decided to resume work after BRTC officials assured them, around 12pm on Wednesday, that their demands will be met.

Confirming the matter, Joar Sahara BRTC bus depot Manager Nur E Ajam told the Dhaka Tribune: "We have talked to the workers and members of staff and assured them we will resolve the matter and meet their demands."
"They have called off their strike and returned to work. Bus transportation has returned to normal."
Previously, on Tuesday, bus drivers, conductors, and office staff of the Joar Sahara BRTC bus depot—in Dhaka's Khilkhet area—halted bus services to demand the payment of outstanding dues.
