The government will punish everyone involved in the Sunday killing of two college students in Dhaka, said Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.

He requested the students to end their protests.

“I am very upset about the deaths of the students,” he told the media on Tuesday.

Shaheed Ramiz Uddin School and College students Diya Khanam Mim, and Abdul Karim Rajib, were killed, on Sunday, when a bus ploughed through a group of students in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on Airport Road.

Students have been protesting this, since Sunday, by blocking some streets in Dhaka. Their public outrage continued on Tuesday.

Quader said that law enforcement arrested the driver and his assistant within 48 hours of the incident.
