BDRCS vice-chairman elected as IFRC member

Prof Habibe Millat, vice-chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), has been elected as a member of the governing board of the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) by 190 National Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies. He was elected for a four-year term through an election held at the General Assembly of IFRC in Antalya, Turkey on Monday, according to press note. “This triumph is in recognition for the contribution of the BDRCS in humanitarian service delivery, and will further inspire us to be more accountable and deliver more effectively and efficiently. It will enable us to contribute to the higher policy level of IFRC,” Millat said. BDRCS Chairman Hafiz Ahmed Majumder congratulated the newly elected president, vice-presidents and all the members of the governing board of the IFRC.
