A daylong voluntary blood donation campaign was held in Gopalganj on Friday. The Gopalganj District Youth Red Crescent organized the programme for children suffering from thalassemia.
Additional Deputy Commissioner S. M. Tarek Sultan inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. Unit-Level Officer Biplob Kumar Biswas and Youth Chief Zobaer Khan were also present.
A total of 50 volunteers donated blood during the daylong campaign. The Youth Red Crescent organizes this blood donation campaign every year to support children affected by thalassemia.
