A drug addict husband has allegedly stabbed his wife to death over family feud at Rikabi Bazar Noidigi Pathore area under Sadar upazila of Munshiganj on Friday.
The deceased is identified as Mitu, 35, wife of Mintu, 40, of the area.
Locals said Mintu was a drug addict and often tortured Mitu over trifling matters. An altercation ensued between the couple at on Thursday night as Mintu sold showcase for money without informing his wife.
At one stage of altercation Mintu stabbed his wife Mitu leaving her dead on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge Younus Ali of Sadar Police Station told the Dhaka Tribune that police arrested Mintu from Munshiganj General Hospital gate in the morning.
