Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have seized 2,000 bottles of phensidyl chasing a private car at Natunhat area on Jessore-Benapole road on Thursday night.
Lieutenant Colonel Matiur Rahman, director of 26 BGB battalion endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
The BGB director said: “Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB after a chase seized a private car along with the contraband drugs.”
The smugglers fled the scene leaving the car abandoned.
A case has been lodged with Kotwali police station in this connection, he added.
