Police have seized 500 litres of contraband liquor from a pick-up van in Chadaha area under Satkania upazila on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway early Tuesday.
AKM Imran Bhuiyan, assistant superintendent of police (Satkania circle), said on suspicion police chased a pick-up van around 3am on the highway.
“Police searched the van and found 500 litres of contraband liquor kept in 75 polythene bags,” said the ASP.
Police detained the van driver for interrogation.
