Police have arrested 18 Jamaat-Shibir activists from different areas of Satkania and Lohagara upazilas under Chittagong district on Saturday.
Of the arrestees, 12 were accused in different cases lodged with Satkania and Lohagara police stations.
AKM Emran Bhuiyan, assistant superintendent of police of Satkania circle told the Dhaka Tribune that acting on a tip-off, they picked up six Jamaat-Shibir activists, from different areas of Satkania upazila.
Meanwhile, 12 other Jamaat-Shibir members were arrested from nine unions in Lohagara upazila, he said, adding that the arrestees were produced before the court.
The police official said their special drive would continue.
