The missing businessman of Narayanganj, Amanullah, has been found. Officials say he was not abducted and instead was in hiding, police officials say.
Narayanganj Detective Official-1 Mainur Rahman endorsed the information on Tuesday night. However, details were not disclosed immediately.
The proprietor, who had been missing since Monday, was found hours after police officials disclosed they had him within the radar of the law enforcers.
“Aman was not abducted, he went to visit a friend in Magura,” newly-appointed Narayanganj police Superintendent Khandakar Muhid Uddin said in a press conference.
Aman, proprietor of Bondhu Hosiery, owed Tk4.59 lakh in debt to his acquaintances in Gazipur. He went missing with the money on Monday.
The police superintendent requested the media to spread news that law enforcers are active throughout the country to prevent abductions and killings.
