Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel, in a drive, have arrested two people with arms and ammunitions at Boro Thakurpara area under Raujan upazila in Chittagong early on Thursday.
The arrestees could not be identified immediately.
Addition Superintendent of Police, also RAB 7 media spokesperson, Mofiz Uddin said: “RAB conducted a drive at Boro Thakurpara area around 4:30am and arrested them.”
“One AK47 SMG, a SMG magazine, 58 rounds of SMG bullets, one lighter gun and three cartridge have been recovered from their possession, he said.
Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press conference to be held around 12:30pm.
