Two youths have been chopped to death in the capital’s MIrpur area on Sunday midnight.
The deceased were identified as Kayem, 32, of Madhya Pirerbagh of the area and Jahangir, 31, of Savar.
Mirpur Police Station Sub-Inspector Qamrul Islam said: “Locals spotted the bodies on a road at Battala area around 12:30am.”
“On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. Stab marks have been noticed on the heads of the bodies,” he said.
The SI said locals could not understand who killed them because there was no electricity in the area at that time.
The reason behind the killing could not be known yet, he added.
