RAB rescued an abducted Thakurgaon man in Ashulia on Friday by tracking phone calls of kidnappers, in an operation evening that ended with four of the perpetrators being shot.
Amanullah Nur Aman, 26, an employee of a private firm in Tongi, was allegedly abducted from a Dhaka-bound BRTC bus from Gazipur in the morning of the day, after the kidnappers had sprayed chemicals that rendered him unconscious.

After the family reported the incident to RAB, the elite law enforcement unit apprehended six kidnappers, with four of the abductors shot after they reportedly opened fire on the rescue team.

RAB also apprehended two other men named Mohsin and Maruf Hossain. Identity of the sixth man is yet to be known. RAB recovered a pistol and three bullets from the scene.
