The unidentified man who stabbed Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal at an event in Shahjalal University of Science & Technology was on the stage moments before carrying out the heinous attack. Students close to the attacker immediately mobbed up on him and handed him over to the authorities.

According to SUST Assistant Proctor Abu Hena Pohil said the attacker is not a university student.
