Metropolitan Magistrate Delwar Hossain made the order on Thursday in reply to a ten-day remand plea submitted by Md Ali Hossain, the case's investigation officer and inspector (investigation) of Ramna model police station.
Besides, the IO placed a plea for converting “the attempt to murder case” into murder case and the court granted it.
14-year-old Raisha's parents were present during the court proceedings.
Being informed by a local, police on Wednesday arrested Obaidul from a restaurant under Domar upazila of Nilphamari district.
A police team brought Obaidul Khan to Dhaka from Nilphamari in the afternoon.
Risha, a student of Willes Little Flower School and College, was allegedly stabbed by Obaidul on August 24 and succumbed to her injuries at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday.
Her mother Tania Hossain suspected one Obaidul Khan, a cutting master of a Baishakhi Ladies Tailors on the Elephant Road’s Eastern Mollika Shopping Mall, of stabbing her daughter for refusing his advances.
An attempt to murder case was filed with the Ramna police station in this connection.
Tania Hossain also said a few months ago Risha went to Baishakhi tailors to make a cloth. She gave Obaidul her mobile phone number for communicating. After that Obaidul had been been irritating Risha by phone calls.
