A court here on Tuesday placed two employees of Apon Coffeehouse, situated in Khilgaon, on one-day remand each for physically assaulting a girl on April 11.
The two accused are Al Amin and Shuvo Shutradhar.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Rakibul Hasan passed the order as police produced the duo before the court and pleaded to place them on a five-day remand each.
A video clipping of the assault on the girl in front of the coffeehouse situated in the Khilgaon, Taltola area, went viral in social media, prompting Rampura police station Sub-Inspector Shafikul Islam Khan to file the case.
In the video, a few youths were seen engaged in an altercation with the girl, and later they started beating her, making her run for her life.
