The High Court has granted anticipatory bail to senior Supreme Court lawyer ZI Khan Panna in connection with an attempted murder case filed at Khilgaon police station in the capital.
The order was issued by a High Court bench led by Justice AKM Asaduzzaman, following a hearing on Panna's bail application.
A team of senior lawyers, including Ahsanul Karim, Ali Ahmed Khokon, Mohammad Shishir Monir, and Mohammad Hossain, represented ZI Khan Panna during the hearing.
Earlier, on October 17, an attempted murder case was filed against ZI Khan Panna at Khilgaon police station.
Among the 180 defendants named in the case are Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, and ZI Khan Panna, who is listed as accused number 94.
