The Criminal Investigation Department on Thursday sought a 10-day remand period to interrogate six people over the leak of government job exam questions.
The accused are PSC deputy directors Md Abu Zafor, Md Jahangir Alam, Assistant Director Md Alamgir Kabir, Auditor Priyanath Roy, businessman Md Zahidul Islam, and ex-army official Noman Siddique.
CID's Additional Special Superintendent of Police Jewel Chakmaa, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted the remand prayer to Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury on Thursday.
The court fixed July 16 for the hearing.
On July 7, a private television channel aired an investigation report which uncovered the the scandal involving leaked question papers for 30 recruitment exams, including the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).
According to the report, a syndicate of six officials and employees of the PSC had been involved in leaking exam questions for a long time.
