Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain has said such kind of behavior was never seen in a courtroom before.
The chief justice said this to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s lawyers on Thursday.
After entering the courtroom for the second time on Thursday during the bail hearing of Khaleda in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case, the chief justice said: “There is a limit to everything, the way you (Khaleda’ lawyers) are behaving is unprecedented.”
“We have never faced such a situation. Your behavior was completely unprecedented,” he lashed out at junior lawyers.
Earlier, the Supreme Court deferred the bail hearing of Khaleda in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case due to her medical report not being submitted.
The deferral caused the pro-BNP leaders to create chaos in the court leading to all the six Appellate Division judges leaving the courtroom in embarrassment.
