The recruitment exam for the post of assistant Judge for the lower court will be held on Friday

Update : 07 Nov 2019, 08:51 PM

Despite several requests, a visually impaired student sitting for the assistant judge recruitment exam scheduled for Friday was not allotted a scribe.

The High Court made a writ petition "out of cause list," seeking its directives to arrange scribes for visually impaired applicants in the recruitment exam for the post of assistant judge.

The bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader made the petition out of its cause list.

But the petitioner’s lawyer, Advocate Kumar Debul Dey, told reporters that they might have to go with another bench with this petition.

Earlier on Wednesday, Advocate Kumar Debul Dey filed the writ on behalf of Sudip Das, a visually impaired applicant, after a private television channel aired a news report in this regard.

The recruitment exam for the post of assistant Judge for the lower court will be held on Friday.

According to the news report, Sudip Das completed his studies in law from Chittagong University and wants to become a judge.

He has been applying for the post of assistant judge in Judicial Service Commission for the last two years but the authority did not arrange or permitted him to sit in the said exam with scribe. So, he had to submit blank answer sheet.
