The Appellate Division’s chamber judge has stayed a High Court order for five weeks that halted production, distribution and sale of pasteurized milk by Akij Food and Beverage Ltd (Farm Fresh Milk) and Pran Dairy Ltd (Pran Milk).
Following the Supreme Court order, the two dairy companies have no bar in producing, distributing and selling of pasteurized milk in the country.
Appellate Division chamber judge Justice Md Nuruzzaman passed the order on Tuesday, when the two companies filed for a stay order on the respective High Court directive.
The chamber judge also asked the two petitioners to file separate petitions with the court challenging the High Court order within five weeks.
Earlier on Monday, the Supreme Court exempted Milk Vita from the ban on production, distribution and sale of pasteurized milk for eight weeks.
