Bulbul to get his mayoral seat back

An Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha dismissed a government leave-to-appeal on Sunday. Bubul, who was charged in several criminal cases, filed a writ petition after the government suspended him in May 2015, challenging the order’s legality. The High Court declared government’s decision illegal in March 2016.
