Md Mejba Uddin Ali, chairman of Wega Group, has been appointed chairman of the newly constituted Board of Trustees (BoT) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT).
The appointment was made at the board’s inaugural meeting on Monday, where members discussed key issues related to the university’s governance, administration and future development.
The newly constituted board reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening BUFT’s academic and institutional capabilities and supporting its continued growth and development.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of enhancing the university’s contribution to education and professional skills development in Bangladesh’s textile, apparel and fashion industries.
Against this backdrop, the board discussed strategic initiatives to further align BUFT’s academic programs and skills development efforts with the evolving needs of the industry.
